About Grease Connections
In many ways, Grease Connections began on the floor of a small New Jersey recycling yard. Back in 2001 We used to collect grease in drums for 20$ each, the restaurants did not know what to do with it!
We are an independent company devoted to making used cooking oil collection simple, predictable, and sustainable for restaurants and commercial kitchens across Florida, Georgia and New Jersey. From corner diners in Miami Beach to high-volume resort kitchens in Atlanta, and across Spain we provide the muscle, the logistics, and the environmental stewardship that keep fryers hot and the back alley of restaurants clean.

Our Story
I’m Mike Alhomsi. My recycling journey started as a teenager, hauling 55 gallon drums and learning route logistics in my family’s New Jersey business, established in 2001. Those early mornings taught me two truths: waste is a resource in disguise, and service only counts when it’s on time.
Craving a larger canvas, I launched my first recycling company in Florida in 2007 and successfully managed the business, servicing thousands of hospitality clients before selling my shares in 2014. A family-focused sabbatical followed, but the call of grease recycling never faded.
In 2016, I returned to the industry with a tighter vision: build an agile, tech-enabled company laser-focused on cooking-oil collection. That vision became Grease Connections, an independent venture designed from the ground up to give chefs, GMs, and facility directors one less critical task to worry about.
Company Foundation
Grease Connections is not a subsidiary; it’s my own venture, shaped by two decades of recycling know-how. I personally direct strategy—negotiating refinery contracts, mapping routes, and vetting sustainable tech—and run day-to-day operations, from driver onboarding to container maintenance.
This single-owner model means decisions happen fast, accountability is clear, and our clients deal with a partner—not a phone tree. My track record blends financial discipline (hitting revenue targets, controlling fuel costs) with hands-on expertise (climbing into alleyways, calibrating pumps) to deliver industrial-grade service without corporate friction.

Our Values
Reliability
We show up when promised, keeping your kitchen running. Our trucks are GPS-tracked, and every driver carries a service checklist to guarantee nothing is missed.
Sustainability
Every gallon we collect is responsibly cleaned and filtered, then transferred to certified biodiesel refineries where it’s transformed into renewable energy.
Empathy
Tight spaces, late rushes, and unexpected volume spikes never catch us off-guard. We design routes for narrow alleys, offer after-hours swaps.
What We Do
Before we roll a truck, we roll up our sleeves to understand each kitchen’s flow, fryer capacity, and storage constraints. Then we tailor pickups to match real-world volume—not theoretical averages.
Whether you’re a 24-hour fry line or a seasonal food hall, our fleet is equipped with vacuum systems, spill-proof lids, and route-tracking software that alerts you before we arrive and sends a digital manifest when we leave.
Grounded in two decades of field experience, these guiding principles drive every pickup we make—keeping your kitchen running smoothly, your footprint lighter, and your team worry-free.
