1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Grease Connections (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Company”) and the customer (“you,” “your,” or “Customer”) of our used cooking oil recycling services. These Terms govern your access to and use of our services, website, and related offerings.
By engaging our services, accessing our website, or using any of our applications, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION
2.1 Used Cooking Oil Collection Services
Grease Connections provides collection, transportation, and recycling services for used cooking oil from restaurants, food service establishments, food processing facilities, and other commercial clients. Our services may include but are not limited to:
- Regular scheduled collection of used cooking oil
- Provision of appropriate collection containers
- Transportation of used cooking oil to our processing facilities
- Processing and recycling of used cooking oil into various products
- Grease trap maintenance and cleaning (when specifically contracted)
- Consultation on best practices for used cooking oil storage and handling
2.2 Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the services without liability.
3. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Proper Oil Handling
You agree to:
- Store used cooking oil only in Company-provided containers or approved storage equipment
- Prevent contamination of used cooking oil with unauthorized materials including water, chemicals, or non-cooking oils
- Ensure that containers are accessible for collection at agreed-upon times
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances regarding the handling and storage of used cooking oil
- Not dispose of used cooking oil in drains, sewers, or other unauthorized disposal sites
3.2 Contamination
You acknowledge that the value and recyclability of used cooking oil depends on its quality and purity. You agree not to mix the following contaminants with the used cooking oil:
- Chemicals or cleaning agents
- Excessive water or moisture
- Motor oil or industrial lubricants
- Non-food waste or trash
- Excessive food particles
If collection containers are found to contain significant amounts of these contaminants, we reserve the right to refuse collection, impose additional handling fees, or terminate service.
3.3 Site Access and Safety
You agree to:
- Provide safe and reasonable access to collection containers
- Maintain the area around containers in a clean and safe condition
- Notify us of any access restrictions, safety concerns, or changes to business hours that may affect collection
- Ensure that containers are placed in accordance with local regulations and do not create a hazard
4. OWNERSHIP OF MATERIALS
4.1 Used Cooking Oil Ownership
Upon collection, all used cooking oil becomes the property of Grease Connections. You relinquish all rights, title, and interest in the used cooking oil once it has been collected by our personnel.
4.2 Container Ownership
All collection containers, equipment, and other materials provided by Grease Connections remain the property of the Company. You agree to:
- Use containers only for their intended purpose of storing used cooking oil
- Not modify, damage, or remove containers from the premises without permission
- Return all containers upon termination of service
- Be responsible for damage to containers beyond normal wear and tear
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning containers promptly
5. SERVICE SCHEDULE AND FEES
5.1 Collection Schedule
Collection schedules will be established based on your volume needs and our operational capabilities. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain regular collection schedules, but specific collection times cannot be guaranteed.
5.2 Fees and Payment Terms
Payment terms for our services are as follows:
- If applicable, service fees will be invoiced according to the schedule specified in your service agreement
- Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date, unless otherwise specified
- Late payments may be subject to a 1.5% monthly interest charge
- Returned checks or failed payments will incur a $35 processing fee
- We reserve the right to modify our fee structure with 30 days’ written notice
5.3 Compensation for Used Cooking Oil
If your service agreement includes compensation for your used cooking oil:
- Compensation rates are based on current market values, quality, and volume
- Payment will be made according to the schedule specified in your service agreement
- We reserve the right to adjust compensation rates based on market conditions with 30 days’ notice
- Compensation may be reduced or withheld for contaminated oil
6. TERM AND TERMINATION
6.1 Service Term
The initial term of service shall be as specified in your service agreement. Upon expiration of the initial term, the agreement will automatically renew for successive terms of equal length unless terminated as provided herein.
6.2 Termination by Customer
You may terminate services by providing 30 days’ written notice prior to the end of the current term. Early termination may result in fees as outlined in your service agreement.
6.3 Termination by Company
We may terminate or suspend service immediately and without notice if:
- You breach any material provision of these Terms
- You fail to pay any amounts when due
- You file for bankruptcy or become insolvent
- You repeatedly provide contaminated oil
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Continued provision of services would violate applicable laws or regulations
6.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- All rights granted to you under these Terms will cease
- You must return all Company property (containers, equipment, etc.)
- You remain liable for any outstanding payments
- We will collect our containers within 10 business days
7. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
7.1 Regulatory Compliance
Both parties agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances pertaining to the handling, storage, transportation, and processing of used cooking oil, including but not limited to:
- Environmental protection laws
- Waste management regulations
- Transportation safety regulations
- Public health codes
- Business licensing requirements
- Local ordinances regarding grease disposal
7.2 Documentation and Reporting
We will provide documentation as required by law to demonstrate proper disposal and recycling of used cooking oil. Upon request, we will furnish you with appropriate waste transfer records for your regulatory compliance needs.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1 Service Warranty
We warrant that our services will be performed in a professional manner consistent with industry standards. This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, whether express or implied.
8.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GREASE CONNECTIONS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use our services
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or data
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our services
- Any damage to your business operations or property
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US FOR SERVICES IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS.
8.3 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Grease Connections and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party right
- Your violation of any law, rule, or regulation
- Any damage caused to property or persons by your improper storage or handling of used cooking oil
9. FORCE MAJEURE
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, strikes, or other workforce disruptions, acts of civil or military authorities, accidents, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
10. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
10.1 Data Collection and Use
We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to such collection and processing.
10.2 Business Information
We may collect and maintain information related to your business operations, including but not limited to collection volumes, service history, and payment records. This information may be used to improve our services, for accounting purposes, or as required by law.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
11.1 Company Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, software, and the compilation thereof, are the exclusive property of Grease Connections or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
11.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use our website and its content for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with our services.
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
12.1 Governing Law

These Terms, together with any service agreements or other documents incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Grease Connections regarding our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
13.2 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of Grease Connections.
13.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced to the fullest extent under law.
13.4 Assignment
These Terms, and any rights and licenses granted hereunder, may not be transferred or assigned by you without our prior written consent but may be assigned by us without restriction.
